Why did people not trust Dev's films?
Dev Kharouds Disputed film "Jindri" based on Damani Rape was made in 2013 by Ashish Bhatia.
The story of the film was written by Dev Kharoud. At that time the film box was closed. Dev Kharoud did not have such a name at that time. This film was released in 2018 after seeing the fame of Dev Kharoud. This film was not promoted by Dev Kharoud due to old quarrels. The film manages to entertain as well as inform.
Yaar Beli
After Jindri, the film "Yaar Beli" made by Sukhjinder Shera was released in 2018 which was the sequel of the old punjabi film "Yari Jatt Di".
This film was also not promoted by Dev Kharoor as he said that the story of the film which was told to him was changed on the set. Dev also introduced Inderpal to Sukhjinder Shera for dialogue and story but Inderpal was chased away from the set. Dev did not promote the film for the same reasons. The film proved to be a flop at the box office. If you look at the film, the film was not good at all. Anyone who has seen the film in cinemas has condemned the film. This also started affecting the image of Dev.
Kaka Ji
After Yaar Beli, Dev's film Kaka Ji came out in January 2019. The trailer of the film was very popular but when people went to see the film, the film turned out to be as boring as the previous film. But still people made the film a hit.
After Kaka Ji came Dev's film Blackiya. The trailer of the film got a lot of trading. But people still thought that a black trailer was not the best movie. The film had a good opening when it was released but less than expected. Gradually people started going to see the movie.
DSP Dev
After Blackiya, Dev's film DSP Dev came. The trailer of the film was good but people were expecting a films like Dakuan da munda & Blackiya from Dev. People responded well to the film.
Zakhmi
Dev made the film Zakhmi with a gap of 8 months after Dsp dev but the subject of the film was old. People did not like the story of this film and the film flopped.Dev Kharoud has to see what kind of cinema the audience wants.the actor plays a family man in this one. But it doesn’t mean there is going to be a sea of change. He is as much an action hero as you’ve seen him in his past films. The difference, and a pleasant one at that, is that he isn’t constantly drinking or doing drugs. But his angry young man image stays intact, only the reasons are emotional and familial. So, it is a story of a common man, who is fighting for the safety of his family and alongside is also fighting against the injustice of the system. His name is Gurshaan (Dev Kharoud) and he is married to Reet (Anchal Singh). They have a seven-year-old daughter. In the first 40 minutes, we are introduced to the fact that Gurshaan is a sensitive man and cannot see anyone being bullied or ill-treated for no reason. Then we meet Reet on her first day of college. The good-hearted man that Gurshaan is, he comes to the rescue of this damsel in distress, who can’t find her classroom and is being troubled by some loafers. The college scenes will remind you of Kabir Singh and how everyday Shahid Kapoor makes Kiara Advani leave the class to just meet him. It’s a Xerox, just different faces and Punjabi dialogues. Next, we know they are in love but Anchal wants him to mind his business and not go on fighting for random people. In no time they are married, have a daughter, leave their village and move to a city for a better life of their kid. Everything is going well, until one day three goons loot the bank where Gurshaan works as a cashier. The real action begins and so does the fight against corruption, injustice and unlawful practices. One after another, villains are beaten to death and their kingpin is brought to book.Dev is mostly convincing when he fights but romance is not his cup of tea or should we say he needs to practice it more.Anchal looks pretty but her dialogue delivery or even her expressions when she has nothing to say fail to impress. There is some melodrama when the little girl is exposed to her dad’s fights in the climax. Most people liked the action of the film. The story is not digested by the people. The beginning of the film starts with boring. It seems that this scene in the film has been dragged out for a long The wedding scenes from Dev Kharoor's college seemed to drag on for a long . Aanchal Singh's death was portrayed in a very strange way in the film. There was also a scene at the beginning of the film. The police start taking away the gypsy. Dev Kharoud immediately brakes the bike in front of the gypsy. This scene seems very over. The movie hangs for about an hour. In the second part, it seems that the real story has come. Then in many places the film seems to be being pushed. In the end, when DevKharoud pushed the MLA, the police stand back. Dev kept beating the MLA, the police did not come once, just stood with his back to him. This scene seemed strange. The story of the film is very weak and the direction is also very weak. Dev Khaoud's action and acting was strong and Aanchal Singh also did a good role. Dev's daughter also had a good role.Overall, the direction is mostly plausible but some visible weak points can’t be denied. One does end up thinking if in real life too the system is as corrupt and social activists as fraud as in Zakhmi. No one likes sad endings or unhappy stories.Dev Kharoud's fans are breaking up with him. Dev should make films according to the fans so that the fans do not get attached.
