Babbu Mann meets Amitoj Mann.Amitoj Mann taught Babbu Maan the intricacies of acting.As you may have seen in Hawayein movie, it doesn't look like Babbu Mann is working in the movie for the first time. He seemed to be a strong actor.All this thanks to Amitoj Mann.Babbu Mann is very impressed with Amitoj. In the early days, Amitoj Mann directed 6 videos of Babbu Mann's album "Saun Di Jhari". The album was a smash hit when it was released. When the video of 'Dil Ta Paagal' came on Lishkara and ETC channel, it won the hearts of the people.

The song began to play on the children's tongues. Then Saun di jhadi's video caused a stir. There was nothing wrong with Babbu Mann because of the Kabza song but there was nothing wrong with the song. According to Babbu Mann, songs should be listened to only for entertainment. The other three songs like Mehfil Mitran Di, Raat, Chan Chanani Amitoj were filmed in one video.The song pab chak de was also shot in 2001. While Amitoj was making a video of the songs for the album, "he wrote and directed a Hindi film titled Hawayein. This film emerges from the consequences of the Blue Star Operation in 1984 and thereon depicts the heart-rending aftermath of Indira Gandhi's assassination in 1984 leading to the riots and the victimization of Punjab and her people, the consequences of which were experienced all over India. This film was an honest exploration of the reasons which led to the angst of the youth of Punjab and the turmoils suffered by their families. It was the first of its kind subjects to be made and is the only celluloid depiction of this dark chapter of Indian history and depicts real life events and most of the situations shown in this film are authentic. This was an attempt to present history in a realistic manner on a colourful tapestry woven with all human emotions of romance, tragedy, humour all presented together on a platter of wonderful music. Shot in locations in Punjab, Delhi and Mumbai, Hawayein was a statement, which has succeeded in correcting the global image of the Sikh participation in the post 1984 Punjab problem thus satisfying the souls of lakhs of Sikhs, who for centuries have lived in perfect harmony with Hindus and all other communities all over the world. It released in August 2003 and was critically acclaimed worldwide. It was well received in India and did extremely well in the international market too. Hawayein opened up the territory of Canada for Hindi films, a territory which was previously considered a non performing territory for Hindi films and created box office history in Canada with record breaking collections. Hawayein also created history in Punjab.
After taking the film to Bhushan Kumar, he refused to produce the film.

Then Babbu Mann himself made this film with the help of some friends. Two years after the making of this film, this film was released in 2003. The film was also banned but the film was released after winning the High Court case.

According to reliable sources, there were some differences between Amitoj and Babbu Mann.For 15-16 years, the two continued to meet in vain in their work. Fans also wanted the two to work together again. Fans were eager to see the duo of Babbu Mann and Amitoj Mann.

In 2019, Amitoj Mann directed Babbu Mann's song "LanghaTa Khul Gaya Ae Baki Vi Khol Diyo Mein Bolda Allah Hoon Te Tusi waheguru Bol Diu". The song was well received by the people and the song no.1 trending came to the fore on YouTube.

               
           
Amitoj and Babbu Mann have announced a film "Sucha Surma". The film is being directed by Amitoj Mann.Sucha Soorma that is based on the life of an Indian dacoit and serial killer Sucha Singh aka Sucha Soorma. The folklore had Balbiro as one of the most important characters in the life of Sucha Singh. This character requires the actress to play an adulterous wife, who could also pass on as Babbu Maan’s sister in law. So, initially there was buzz that one of Amitoj Maan’s previous heroines might be given this role and we could only think of Mahie Gill (she was there in Amitoj’s Hawayein) as the actress who can do justice to this character. Mahie has already skinned such characters onscreen before.
But surprisingly, Punjabi actress who went on to join the TV world, Sameksha Singh, has been signed for the film. Last seen in Punjabi film Vaapsi, Sameksha seems to be the perfect choice for this bold character. Earlier she did a vampish comical role in Lucky Di Unlucky Story and was last seen as scheming Romanian queen in the television serial Porus. Therefore, she seems to be an apt choice for Balbiro.Sarbjit Cheema is also in the film but it’s still not clear whether he's been given the role of Sucha Singh’s brother Narain Singh or Balbiro’s lover Ghukkar. Now with an interesting star cast, this one is going to be one of the most awaited films of the year. Viewers are eagerly waiting for this film.The film was shot in Rajasthan.The shooting of this film is yet to take place. The film will be completed soon after the lockdown.
