Both have acted in dozens of films.The two had worked together in films like Kabhi Kabhi, Ajooba, Coolie and Amar, Akbar, Anthony in the 70s and 80s.The two veteran actors last appeared on screen together after 27 years. In 2018, his film '102-Not Out' came out, in which Rishi Kapoor became Amitabh's son.One of the most popular songs of this movie star was "Tingu ji tingu ji lambu ji lambu ji".

Pali Bhupinder Singh shared on his social handles that Smeep had asked him to write a Punjabi film script that could be suitable for Rishi Kapoor. He had even narrated a few subjects to Smeep who had further discussed it with Rishi Kapoor. But due to Rishi Kapoor’s hospitalisation in the US, things could not materialise.Actor-Producer Daljeet Kalsi says, "For Sardaar Saab I had only three actors in mind. At first we had approached Vinod Khanna Saab whom Mika bhaji had introduced to me. He politely turned down the offer on health grounds. I met Rishi Sir twice in Mumbai and once in Malaysia at the IIFA Awards. Post-award function, like any other Punjabi, he was all set for his evening drinks and soon started talking in Punjabi with me, that too loud enough! Rishi Kapoor returned to India from the US in September last year. Here he was treated for cancer for about a year.On social media, Randhir Kapoor broke the news of Rishi Kapoor's death. Rishi Kapoor was admitted to HN Reliance Hospital by his family on Wednesday. His brother Randhir had said that he was having difficulty in breathing.

The late actor's daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who reached Mumbai from Delhi on Saturday evening, couldn't attend the prayer meet. Riddhima was in Delhi when her father died in Mumbai's HN Reliance Hospital on April 30. She couldn't get the permission to fly down to Mumbai to attend her father's last rites due to the ongoing lockdown. However, she sought permission from Delhi Police to travel by road and left for Mumbai on Friday. She reached Mumbai with her daughter Samara on Saturday.After a two-year long battle with leukemia, Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30. He was 67. The mortal remains of the late actor were directly taken to Chandanwadi Crematorium from the hospital for his cremation. Only a few people were allowed to attend the funeral. Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Armaan Jain, Aadar Jain, Rima Jain, Manoj Jain, Randhir Kapoor, Rajeev Kapoor and Kunal Kapoor, were among the family members who attended the funeral.May God grant peace to the soul of Rishi Kapoor and give strength to the Kapoor family to fight this calamity.waheguru
