Famous Punjabi filmmaker, writer and actor Sukhjinder Shera passed away today. He breathed his last in Uganda, Africa.Sukhjinder Shera was born on 31 July 1958.He passed away at the age of 63.
On April 17, he visited a friend in Uganda and fell ill a few days ago and died last night.Sukhjinder Shera, a resident of Malik village near Jagraon in Ludhiana district, made a name for himself in Punjabi cinema. He started his film career as an actor in the late actor Veerendra's film 'Yaari Jatt Di'. He gained fame from the film 'Jatt Te Zameen'.
Shera was the name of the Punjabi cinema world that shone in the 80's. At that time every film was incomplete without him. When it comes to his hit films, there are Zor Jatt Da, Uccha Pind, Sar Dhad Di Baazi, Pagri Sambal Jatta, Dharam Jatt Da, Jagira,Jatt Te Zameen,Yaari Jatt Di.
Shera later made several films as a producer-director. His last film was Yar Bailey. His family living in Chandigarh has demanded the Punjab and Union Government to bring his body.
